Electrical Design Engineer

Main Duties:
- Design and develop electrical assemblies, including wiring harnesses, sensors, and actuators, from concept to detailed implementation.
- Collaborate effectively with departments such as Mechanical Design, Aerodynamics, Transmissions, Powertrains, and Garage and Pit Equipment to ensure seamless integration.
- Engage with external suppliers to coordinate and deliver high-quality components.
- Maintain clear, concise, and professional communication at all times.
- Develop and write technical operating procedures and specifications for car systems.
- Take ownership of fault diagnosis, conducting thorough analyses, and implementing timely solutions to rectify issues.
- Demonstrate flexibility with working hours and contribute as an integral part of the design team.
- Ensure full compliance with the company’s quality and safety standards.
Core Competencies:
- Proficiency in using Electrical CAD wiring design software.
- Strong knowledge of electrical fundamentals, communication lines, CANbus systems, Ethernet, sensor theory, and sensor types.
- In-depth understanding of electrical and electronic assemblies, including MIL-spec wiring harnesses and connectors.
- Experience with Raychem harness systems, Autosport connectors, and Motorsport ECU systems is highly desirable.
- Self-driven, innovative, and capable of performing under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrates leadership by example, fostering teamwork with an open-minded, responsible, and constructive approach.
- Inspires and supports colleagues to build and sustain a high-performance team culture.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree-qualified in Electronics, Motorsport, Automotive, Aerospace, Marine, or a related engineering discipline.
