Geotechnical Engineer for Renewables Certification

As a geotechnical engineer you will form part of a multi-disciplinary team engaged in design review, manufacture, installation and in-service verification activities related to onshore and offshore wind energy facilities. Some geotechnical work related to civil work structures may also occur. The geotechnical knowledge should cover some of the below listed items:

  • Verification of design basis involving knowledge of relevant structural codes and standards
  • Verification of geotechnical analysis related to offshore structures for wind turbine foundations
  • Verification of pile driving analysis
  • Verification of geotechnical analysis for onshore gravity foundations
  • Evaluation of advanced geotechnical laboratory tests
  • Analysis of geotechnical test results for design of structures
  • Properties of soils interacting with dynamic loads

Position Qualifications

  • University degree in geotechnical engineering or eqivalent
  • Professionell experience from the offshore wind industry desired
  • Knowledge or experience with FE analysis of soil and structure interaction
  • Good analytical skills
  • Teamplayer and the ability to build up strong relationships to internal and external customers
  • Fluently in written and spoken English
