We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our team at the Manufacturing Excellence Center of Aptiv. In this role, you will be tasked with the accountability of designing, implementing, and enhancing manufacturing processes to drive efficiency, cost reduction, and product quality improvements across Crimping & Monitoring, terminal bending, Ucab, and RSC processes while adhering to Aptiv's internal procedures.

Your role:

  • Define and communicate the processes for Crimping & Monitoring, terminal bending, Ucab, and RSC within Process operating specifications, Bill of Procedures, and PFMEA, as well as with the necessary design teams;
  • Oversee the Research and Development activities for processes, including technical approval, validation, and the introduction of new machines, versions, options, tools, equipment, and spare parts;
  • Enhance and refine the SPQVC metrics;
  • Assist the operations team in launching new projects, executing Engineering Changes, and facilitating the installation of new plants by managing process, machinery, and equipment installation;
  • Engage in cooperation with diverse stakeholders, such as customers, Product Engineering (PE), Manufacturing Engineering (ME), Quality & Reliability, Component groups, Global Supply Management (GSM), equipment and component suppliers, and academic partnerships, to ensure seamless coordination of all pertinent process activities;
  • Drive continuous technological advancement of equipment and processes by identifying necessary improvements and innovations to enhance productivity and efficiency, working closely with technology-holding equipment suppliers to develop these projects.

Your background:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering with 2-5 years of experience in process engineering or equivalent;
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and prioritize tasks, especially under tight deadlines;
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and communication skills;

  • Ability to create basics drawings & sketches in CAD software ( Solid Edge);
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocol (Ethernet, Flex Ray, CAN FD);
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, Traceability concepts;
  • Ability to travel within the EMEA region;
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
