HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

As part of the Digital team, you will participate to:

  • Develop digital hardware boards from conception to testing.
  • Cover the following aspects: system architecture, mechanics, electronic cards, programmable components, power distribution, consumption, dissemination.
  • Observe environment standards (electro-magnetic, staff safety, recycling, forbidden substances, etc.).

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION:

  • Master's Degree in electronics specialized in Analog/Digital world.
  • English level required: technical.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

  • Produce hardware specifications.
  • Analyse hardware task book (Functional specifications, constraints, interfaces), - Design architecture of digital electronic cards or programmable components.
  • Draw up schemes of electronic cards.
  • Perform or supervise electronic cards embedding.
  • Design mechanical architecture and draw up corresponding plans.
  • Write components’ programs in the appropriated language (encoding).
  • Write hardware usage terms.
  • Perform unitary tests.
  • Perform environment tests.
  • Participate in hardware validation in system integration.
  • Provide technical support in deployment and usage stage.
  • Intervenes after product architecture (System and Network Designer) and before Validation/Integration. Project teamwork.
  • According to hardware projects size and complexity, may begin his activity at the very beginning (functional specification) and may participate in validation testing or he may work on a hardware sub module only.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Design of digital boards combining digital (up to 25 Gbps) and analog signals.
  • Knowledge of environmental standards (CEM, forbidden substances, security…).
  • Knowledge of CAD tools (Mentor, Cadence…) to define schematics and to follow-up layout.
  • Knowledge of digital components (FPGA, modem, memories…) and of different buses and interfaces (Ethernet, GPI, RGMII, SFP, XAUI, SPI, I2C, POE…).
  • Knowledge in signal integrity (high speed signals).
  • Know how to use specific test equipment such as Ethernet tester, surge tester, scopes….
  • Knowledge in simulation tools for high speed digital transmission (ADS, Hyperlynx, LTSpice…).
  • Knowledge in digital communications (theory of information coding and modulation…).

RELATIONSHIP SKILLS:

  • Excellent team spirit and will to share knowledge.
  • Feel accountable on the overall development of the product.
  • Curiosity in order to enlarge the knowledge and discover new domains of activity.
  • Be creative and give new ideas to improve the process development or quality of products Conceptual skills.
  • Good capacity for analysing source of issues and lead investigations to find a solution.
