You will collaborate closely with a diverse team of engineers (valves and pump designers, engine control engineer, GNC, Avionics…) to ensure the successful integration and operation of these critical hardware elements within our cryogenic Engine.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design of the engine controller electrical architecture and PCB interfaces between main controller computer and engine subsystems, such as valves, pump inverters and sensors.
  • Work closely with Avionics Team, Flight Software and Engine Control engineers to ensure reliable operation of the engine during all flight phases.
  • Validate with HIL prototyping the engine controller system.
  • Develop and maintain hardware documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and manufacturing documentation.

What we'd love to see from you:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the design, development, and testing of electrical systems
  • Proficiency in electronic hardware design tools and software (at least 5 years experience) (Altium Designer, KiCAD, etc.), and knowledge of IPC class 3 standards and space design rules would be valued.
  • Strong understanding of power electronics principles, including semiconductor devices, gate drivers, and thermal management techniques.
  • Experience with actuators, motor control, sensor interfaces, and feedback control loops.
  • Familiarity with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) mitigation techniques.
  • Good understanding of safety-critical design practices, reliability engineering, and failure mode analysis.
  • Familiarity with radiation analysis and mitigation for electronic systems.
  • Understanding of space-relevant standards (like ECSS, MIL-STD, NASA-HBK) and regulations.
  • Understanding of environmental aspects (Climatic and dynamics tests)
