Advanced Systems Engineer - Connection Systems

The Aptiv Connection Systems Team is looking for a Advanced Systems Engineer to join the North America Product Engineering Team with the position located in Krakow, Poland. The successful candidate will be a part of the Consumer Connectivity product portfolio. The Advanced Systems Engineer will be responsible for capturing/developing hardware and software requirements for connectivity modules such as USB-PD, USB hub, HDMI, Qi wireless charging and NFC, as well as verifying the engineering implementation conforms to the established requirements.
Your Role (i.e. Key Job Responsibilities):
- Capture, refine and assign customer requirements and specifications using Polarion requirements management tool;
- Develop/maintain OE based system level benches for verifying operation and compatibility of electronics modules with other OE components and consumer electronics devices;
- Lead hardware and software product testing, and ensure compliance to requirements;
- Troubleshoot electronics modules and consumer electronics behavior;
- Document electronics modules performance using Jira project management tool;
- Ensure completion of projections in accordance with established deadlines; including reporting pertinent information clearly and concisely;
- Analyze system operation with a consumer-focused and platform mindset in addition to utilizing excellent OE design practices;
- Travel as required (5-10% with some international travel);
- Interact with OEM Design Responsible Engineers to author Product Specifications and Requirement Analysis Reports.
Your Required Background (i.e. Must Haves):
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science;
- Previous experience in capturing requirements using tools such as Doors and Polarion and using them for analysis for mechanical, electrical and software engineering requirements including design, implementation and validation;
- Demonstrated success leading one or more complex projects/applications;
- 5 years of experience with vehicle electronics components and communication networks.
Your Preferred Background (i.e. Nice to Haves):
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science;
- Previous experience with various scripting languages for test tools or be able to develop basic applications using Visual studio (e.g., C++);
- Previous experience with various microprocessor and microcontroller architectures;
- Previous experience with product architectures such as but not limited to: I2C, I2S, SPI, UART, USB, SD, CAN, LIN interfaces, A/D conversion, Power Management, etc.
