Project Engineer - Hardware and System with ePLAN Skills

We are looking for a Hardware & System Project Engineer (with ePLAN skills) who will be responsible for the hardware and system designs for our DCS project deliveries ensuring timeliness, cost efficiency and meeting our customers’ expectations. On this position, you will work with our customers from Energy, Process, Pulp&Paper and Marine businesses.

You will play an important role in our global engineering organization and you will be based in Gliwice (CSE Engineering Hub). Your main tasks will cover:

  • designing of control system cabinets (incl. layout drawings, internal connections, cross connections, system configuration data, BOMs)
  • designing of control system layouts for Valmet DCS project deliveries
  • creation of loop diagrams for field instrumentation and control system IO interfaces
  • participating in customer’s site audits in case of retrofit projects to facilitate HW design process
  • analysis of customer requirements in terms of hardware and system components to be delivered
  • supporting project team (Lead Engineer and Project Manager) in terms of HW & System design and concepts
  • cooperation with logistic department on finalizing BOMs, hardware purchasing, manufacturing and final inspections
  • participation in Factory Acceptance Tests (iFAT / cFAT / SAT) for HW and System scope
  • delivery of HW quality documentation according to agreed quality assurance plan.

Expectations:

To be successful in this position we expect from you:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in automation, electrical engineering (or similar)
  • design skills in ePLAN, AutoCAD or similar platforms are mandatory (ePLAN preferred)
  • knowledge and experience of automation control systems (DCS/PLC)
  • Microsoft Office skills (very good Excel skills, Visual Basic macros)
  • knowledge of ATEX directive requirements is considered as additional benefit
  • fluent Polish and very good English (both written and oral) is mandatory, other language skills are considered as an additional benefit
  • driving license (B category) and willingness to business travels (up to 20% of working time)
  • customer oriented self-driven team player able to work independently
  • strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • strong sense of ethics and responsibility
  • excellent commitment.
