Your mission
- ICE responsible;
- ICE measurement data responsible for performance and health vitals; responsible for ICE allocation, commissioning, fire-up, tracking and troubleshooting;
- Calibrate and manage ICE data set;
- Coordinate between electricians, mechanics, and mission control;
- Translate driver feedback into optimization of ICE drivability, performance and reliability;
- Operate hands-on on motorsport ICE components, especially periphery (turbo charger, etc.);
- Reporting and documentation; coordination ICE parts logistics;
- FIA contact person for ICE specific topics; execution and documentation of track specific ICE tests;
- Think and act solution – oriented and communicate calculated risks.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent qualification/experience;
- Previous experience with trackside and testbench operations in the internal combustion engine field;
- Proven experience in ICE (full engine and component/periphery) development (combustion process, calibration, load change and mechanics);
- Good knowledge in ICE Hardware fault finding, root cause analysis, system health monitoring;
- Good understanding of reliability and fault prediction;
- Experience in ATLAS, TeamDB, Matlab/Simulink;
- Good knowledge of calibration tools, telemetry, and data viewing platforms;
- Proactive and capable in communicating critical decisions, fast and analytical personality with strong decision taking skills;
- Resilient personality and strong team player, able to work under challenging conditions around the world, with high flexibility to work on weekends (overtime hours when needed);
- Full professional proficiency in English and a willingness to learn a basic level of German are prerequisites.
