WHAT TO EXPECT

As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward-thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Working full-time from our Aachen office, you will be responsible for overseeing system engineering, product engineering and project management for Engine Systems Power Transmission (ESPT) products for the EMEA region. These products are applied across various OE and Replacement markets including applications such as Auto, Truck & Bus, and Personal Mobility.

Key responsibilities (to name a few):

Providing strategic direction and vision for product engineering initiatives, aligning with company goals and market demands;
Overseeing the product development lifecycle, from concept ideation and design to prototyping, testing, and final production, ensuring products meet performance, quality, timing, and cost objectives;
Leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team of engineers and project managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement;
Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including product line management, marketing, sales, supply chain, and manufacturing to ensure alignment and integration of engineering efforts with overall business objectives;
Developing and implementing comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget;
Identifying and mitigating project risks, proactively addressing challenges and obstacles to minimize disruptions to project timelines and deliverables;
Driving continuous improvement initiatives within engineering and project management processes, leveraging best practices, tools, and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness;
Staying abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape, leveraging insights to inform product development strategies and priorities;
Operating in adherence to ISO TS16949, ISO 14001, VDA6, Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, and other industry and company standards.

ABOUT YOU

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, advanced degree preferred;
Minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering and project management roles, with at least 8 years in a leadership capacity;
Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects from concept to launch, preferably in the automotive or mobility industry;
Strong technical expertise in power transmission systems and related technologies;
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate teams;
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving innovation and excellence;
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies;
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards related to automotive and mobility products is a plus.
