Design, establish and manage the Offshore Centre of Excellence related to offshore operated and non-operated assets to achieve consistent top quartile delivery for offshore developments and operations by making the right expertise and knowledge in the different BO's available;
Technical Authority and knowledge leader for the OMV Group with respect to offshore engineering topics;
Establish and maintain an active global Technical Authority (TA) for offshore disciplines in alignment with the TAF (Technical Authority Framework);
Maintain offshore developments and operations technical discipline health by having a deep understanding of the Upstream offshore resource pool and work closely with the Head Office functions and BOs to close any critical resource and knowledge gaps;
Establish and maintain a Continuous Improvement system for the Upstream management system (EPMS) applied to offshore developments. Assure consistent application of processes, systems and regulations;
Special Advisor to Upstream Leadership team on technical and execution aspects of offshore developments and operations, including verification on the effectiveness of offshore development and projects assurance processes as well as participate in critical offshore project assurance reviews;
Engages key stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency of Offshore CoE initiatives with corporate and functional initiatives and practices. Work closely with existing Head Office Technical Authorities and Head of Engineering and Project Delivery organization to ensure close cooperation and alignment on common topics and strategy;
Drive design assurance activities during all project phases. Participate in Non Operated Ventures Technical Reviews, TCMs and key Conceptual Workshops.
University Degree in Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, preferably Chartered Engineer or other applicable professional qualification;
Minimum 20 years professional experience in the Offshore E&P Industry with extensive experience in field development/re-development planning and full project life cycle. Experience in all project phases. Offshore engineering capability to act as overall Technical Authority for offshore engineering and production areas specifically (SURF, Structural, Moorings, Operations and Concept and Construction);
Extensive operation and maintenance experience is of great importance in order to be able to have a broad experience in all phases of offshore projects;
Proven ability to establish networks, create and communicate a corporate vision, energize technical communities and influence internal and external stakeholders;
Broad understanding of the technical and commercial challenges with offshore development activities (from sand face to export) including strong knowledge in offshore international norms, standards and legal regulatory frameworks;
Innovative and open attitude to embrace new ideas, concepts and opportunities.
