Introduction to the Job:

Within the Safety Department, you will integrate into a team of one of the Technip France projects (mainly Pharmacy, or possibly Mining, Nuclear or Wind-driven industries etc.). You will interface with the Project Management Team, the Client, the French Authorities, the Insurers, the Vendors and the other disciplines like Process, Piping, Civil, Instrumentation.

You will be responsible for the schedule and the budget. You can be brought to check deliverables produced by others, and to supervise some engineers. Feedbacks shall be formalized and shared with the Department.

You must have good knowledge of the French regulation, and strong skills of design specification related to fire protection and means of protection (including fire partitioning, smoke removal, evacuation and sprinkler systems design).

Job description:

  • Risk analysis;
  • Safety reviews participation (HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, etc.);
  • Plot plan review;
  • Hazardous area classification studies;
  • Passive fire-protection studies (in particular fire partitioning);
  • Active fire-protection studies (firewater pumps station design, fire-fighting network and deluge & sprinkler systems studies, hydraulic balance calculations, fixed gaseous extinguishing systems and water mist systems);
  • Flammable gas, toxic gas and fire detection studies;
  • Personnel protection studies;
  • Evacuation & smoke removal studies;
  • Specification and requisition for fire-fighting and personnel protection equipment, technical bid evaluation and vendor follow-up;
  • Safety field engineering.

You are meant for this job if:

  • Educational Qualification: Chartered Engineer (Chemical Engineering background, Process Engineering background or Safety Engineering);
  • You have a significant experience of more than six years in French Industry (mainly Pharmacy);
  • Dynamic, proactive, rigorous, autonomous, you are both a team leader and an easy-going team mate in order to evolve and assert yourself in a multicultural environment;
  • Your French is fluent, Your English is good;
  • Business trips abroad are to be foreseen.
