How you will CELLebrate
- Optimize Manufacturing Processes: Organize and enhance cell assembly processes to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) such as safety, efficiency, cycle time, yield, and reliability (Cpk);
- Collaborate with Suppliers: Work with suppliers and technology providers to develop and update technical specifications related to cell assembly and components;
- Develop Quality Inspection Documentation: Collaborate with equipment suppliers and technology providers to create and maintain quality inspection documentation for cell components;
- Technical Collaboration: Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, and machine development activities with equipment suppliers to ensure that technical requirements are fully met;
- Cost Reduction: Contribute to cost reduction initiatives, including headcount optimization and cycle time improvements;
- Manufacturing Issue Resolution: Initiate, track, and resolve manufacturing issues to maintain production quality and efficiency;
- Supplier and Factory Acceptance Testing: Participate in Supplier Acceptance Tests (SAT) and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at the supplier’s site and at the plant to ensure readiness for production;
- Documentation Preparation:
- Update PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), implement control plans, and develop work instructions;
- Create and document plans and schedules for virtual and physical validation activities;
- Record validation results from tests, trials, and analysis;
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for both the pilot line and equipment suppliers;
- Maintain and update quality system documentation, including compliance with IATF 16949 standards.
What you need for our CELLebration
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field;
- Experience: At least 1 year of professional experience in battery cell or semiconductor production;
- Technical Expertise: Experience with key battery technologies such as stacking, winding, laser welding, laser cutting, and visual inspection systems is a plus;
- Core Knowledge: Proficiency in key concepts such as PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), GR&R (Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility), SPC (Statistical Process Control), and process capability;
- Problem-Solving Skills: Familiarity with problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act), and 4M1E (Man, Machine, Material, Method, Environment);
- Technical Experience:
- CC/SC (Control Chart/Statistical Control);
- Product tolerances;
- Understanding the relationship between process and equipment;
- Understanding the relationship between process and quality issues.
- Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including for extended assignments abroad;
- Business Acumen: High cost-awareness, strong negotiation and presentation skills, and assertiveness;
- Language Skills: Business-level fluency in English.

- Experience: At least 3 years of experience working in mass production environments for battery cells;
- Project Management: Proven success in planning for Gigafactory-scale operations;
- Adaptability: High level of initiative and a willingness to work in a fast-paced, startup environment;
- Cultural Competence: Ability to work confidently in an international environment, with strong inter-cultural competence;
- Additional Languages: Proficiency in German and/or Spanish is a plus.
