Material Compliance and Hazardous Materials Engineer

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Request, and evaluate safety data sheets with regard to prohibited and declarable substances in accordance with legal, customer-specific and Preh requirements;
  • Coordinate material workflows (e.g., Raw Material Warrant) and ensure data is transferred to the ERP system;
  • Manage substitutions and follow-up processes (e.g., change requests);
  • Adapt and improve material compliance processes and workflows;
  • Develop and deliver training on material compliance and hazardous materials to employees at all locations;
  • Work with different departments to coordinate and plan training sessions.

Your Profile:

  • Completed relevant training (e.g., Chemical) with experience in material compliance or hazardous materials;
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in managing hazardous materials and working with raw materials;
  • Strong understanding of materials such as plastics, paints, adhesives, and other raw materials, with a focus on hazardous substances;
  • Fluent written and spoken English skills;
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Solution-oriented;
  • Initiative, proactivity and capacity to work autonomously.
