Lead Engineer - Power Electronics

The Lead Engineer will create emerging power conversion & power system solutions based on breakthrough technologies for industrial, automotive, truck, and aerospace applications. The team works on state-of-the-art electronics and identifies and develops commercialization opportunities with diverse Eaton businesses.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead power electronics research, design and development activities at TRL1-5
- Demonstrate ownership for the assigned projects and task
- Perform modeling, simulation, PE and PCB design and validation of electronics circuits
- Collect and analyze data to optimize designs to meet performance, size, manufacturability, reliability or costs targets
- Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and firmware engineers to successfully design and validate the design
- Create technical reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders
- Support team and work with external contributors (business divisions, universities and customers)
- Develop test cell facilities and related hardware
We would like you to bring:
- Msc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in R&D - power electronics and electronics design (DC/DC converters)
- Modeling and simulation (Matlab, Plecs, Altium, Eagle, Spice)
- Strong understanding of circuit theory, containing power electronics (solid state circuit breaking)
- Experience in designing cutting-edge electronics (SiC, GaN (silicone-carbide, gallium nitride)
- Ability to demonstrate problem solving using logic and methods to tackle diverse problems
