Battery Systems Engineer

Responsibilities
- Lead battery systems and sub-systems design, development and delivery to the project timeline;
- Decompose system and sub-system requirements to a component level;
- Develop and support verification, validation and integration strategy, and testing from prototype phase through to homologation;
- Support derivation of the technical/functional safety concept;
- System and Design reviews, DFMEA, risk analysis;
- Technical drawings and production documentation reviews;
- Conduct root cause analysis;
- Providing support to assembly and testing teams during product operations;
- Providing support to ongoing product and process improvement;
- Ensuring product conformity to standards and best practices;
- Driving product safety based on an analytical and risk assessed approach;
- Leading technically focused meetings.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace or Systems Engineering;
- At least 3 years of experience in automotive systems or industrial experience within a complex multidisciplinary product environment. Experience with HV Battery systems and knowledge of system design with Lithium based battery cell;
- Understanding of Systems/Requirement Engineering & Tools (e.g. IBM DOORS, JAMA);
- Experience with PLM systems (3Dx, TeamCentre, Creo) - Knowledge of project life cycle management from early R&D to series production;
- Experience in product design, knowledge of production process and best practices;
- Experience in safe working practices around HV systems, legislative requirements, and homologation standards;
- Experience with MS Office tools;
- Very good knowledge of English (written and spoken) is essential.
