Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and mechanically qualified Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of our new project in Portugal. This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in large-scale construction projects within the chemical or related industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the project in Portugal;
Ensure all project objectives are met, including timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards;
Coordinate and manage all aspects of the project, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning;
Oversee the work of subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications;
Implement robust project management practices, including risk management, cost control, and performance tracking;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, procurement, and operations, to achieve project goals;
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions;
Ensure compliance with all local regulations, standards, and environmental requirements.

Qualifications:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
Extensive experience as a Project Manager in large-scale construction projects, preferably within the chemical industry;
Strong leadership and team management skills;
Excellent project management skills, with proficiency in project management software and tools;
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, engineering principles, and industry standards;
Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Fluency in English; proficiency in Portuguese is a plus but not required.
