Plant Engineer

Key responsibilities:
- Planning and completing partial and small projects, including process engineering calculations and optimizations within the plant;
- Conducting feasibility studies for new plants or converting existing plants, including cost estimates, time frames and functionality;
- Performing risk analyses, operational tests, conversions, and providing support within the department;
- Ensuring maintenance is carried out expertly and economically while technically maintaining sufficient plant availability, including collaborating closely with authorities;
- Applying SAP for placing orders, conducting technical-commercial evaluations, and planning capacity to optimize plant and personnel deployment;
- Collaborating in monitoring and adhering to the available budget for maintenance, conversions, and investments within the area of responsibility;
- Updating and verifying plant documentation, such as flow charts, zone and installation plans, parts lists, and organisational change in accordance with GMP standards;
- Supporting the training of plant teams and workshop personnel regarding process and plant knowledge, safety, hygiene, environment, and quality (cGMP).
Key requirements:
- University degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Process Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a similar role. Technical college degree (FH/HF) will also be considered;
- Experience in Biotech/Pharma production is preferred;
- Good knowledge of GMP, COMOS (Plant Engineering Software), and SAP is an advantage;
- Ability to work independently and flexibly, with collaboration skills;
- Structured, focused, and well-organized work behavior;
- Accepting new insights and committed to problem-solving;
- Proficient English is required; good German language skills are an advantage.
