ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for Identification and acquisition of new equipment and tooling related to new product , uses defined criteria for equipment and provides first hand training for equipment to Maintenance and Production, as well as all the other activities such as Work Instruction, ergonomics , safety etc. for equipment design and process implementation.
- Define specification book for new equipment and toolings.
- Provide info about new product introduction to the core process ME, setting together with the ME Manager the strategy for the overall plant and business. With this, provides direction to the Process Engineers and supervisors to perform the cell layout improvements aligned with the overall plant strategy.
- Train the line technician and maintenance on the new applications.
- Establish theoretical capacity for the machines and assembly lines to define capital requirements for that production line.
- Responsible to follow all the PEP phases of new product introduction (NPI): attend to the design review, lead the PFMEA; attend to the prototype builds; take part to the risk assessment of the project, definition of tooling and fixtures, gages, poka yoke via identification of the key characteristics; definition of control plan and work instruction. Needs to consider safety and quality aspects when introducing new processes.
- Partnership with ME and QE for the overall process reliability following metrics as well as with the cell responsible to approve and validate via ECN/DWR all changes affecting his/her product line.
- Participate in safety incidents investigation if related to NPI.
- Observes the obligations and duties resulting from the management systems in production, quality, HS&E areas and other external and internal standards and regulations.
- Observes work rules and internal HS&E guidelines in the current wording.
WE VALUE:
- University degree in mechanical, industrial, electronic or electrical engineering.
- Experienced in Manufacturing or complementary skills (e.g. process/Quality/reliability engineering) experience.
- PFMEA expert.
- Familiar with machining CNC equipment and assembly of products, PLC/PC programming (preferred).
- Knowledge in root cause analysis and problem solving.
- 3 years minimum of experience in Manufacturing Engineering activities and complementary skills (Process/Quality).
- Ability to interpret Geometrical drawing and tolerancing system.
- Knowledgeable of product (e.g. turbo), it’s manufacturing processes and its application. Preferred.
- Project management to lead the supplier activities related to npi.
- Six Sigma Green-belt (minimum) or Black Belt /Lean expert/TPM expert (preferred).
- Knowledge of poka yoke, tooling fabrication and design for machinery assembly or inspection type of tools/fixtures. (preferred)
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Well organized to manage multiple competing priorities in parallel.
- Language: fluent English and 2nd European language as nice to have.
