Laboratory Engineer

What you’ll do:

We are looking for a Laboratory and Metrological Engineer as part of the R&D Food Preparation Business Area Europe within Consumer Experience site. You will be responsible for ensuring the testing of key functionality and safety, compliance with technical standards (internal/external) and providing improvement proposals. You will be a part of our Laboratory team and cooperating with stakeholders around Europe.

In detail, you will:

Ensure compliance of all laboratory instruments with relevant standards and documentations;
Support the timely delivery of assigned R&D projects/new products in collaboration with Platform Leaders;
Participate in concept development;
Provide improvement proposals to Platforms or Technology development;
Ensure proper maintenance of testing equipment according to ISO9001 and ISO 17025.

Qualifications:

Degree in Mechanical/Automation/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a similar area is preferable;
Practical problem-solving skills with a strong sense of applied engineering both mechanical and electrical. (this should include the ability to make mechanical and electrical modifications to test samples or appliances; fault-finding; and understanding of electrical wiring and circuit diagrams);
Good computer literacy, esp. MS Office;
Ability to work in a matrix organization, building strong and valid relationships with all the functions in a global organization;
Strong communication skills, especially in the English language, both written and oral also skilled in technical writing;
Willingness to travel, valid driver’s license.
