The Position:
Analog Devices, Inc. is looking for a PRINCIPAL ENGINEER - ANALOG DESIGN ENGINEERING to join our European CSS Power Team. The candidate will be self-motivated, willing to learn exciting new technologies and develop new products, but also be able to work effectively within a talented group of individuals across multiple development locations. The candidate will join a team of Analog, Digital, Mixed-Signal CMOS designers, Mask Layout designers, Verification and Silicon Evaluation engineers, Algorithm and Software developers, Packaging and Test engineers, implementing PMIC state of the art. The candidate will always drive for Power-related Best-In-Class IPs performances, such as Low Power/High-Efficiency, Low Noise/High-PSRR, High Accuracy/Low Ripple. The candidate will be involved in the following developments, from definition to production:
- LDO, BUCK, BOOST, BUCK-BOOST, CHARGE-PUMP, SIMO (Single-Input/Multiple Outputs)
- IBB (Inverted BUCK-BOOST), ICP (Inverted CHARGE-PUMP), Negative LDO
- Power Sequencer, Oscillators, PLL, Bandgap, References, ADC, DAC, I/O, SPI, I2C, SPMI, OTP, MTP, RAM, ROM, DFT
Responsibilities:
Power IP Development
- Define and contribute to the CSS product and IP Road Map
- Streamline IP development, improve Team Flows and Methodologies
Power Management IC Development
- Drive next generation PMIC specifications, architectures, design, as well as pre-silicon verification and post-silicon bench evaluation
- Provide guidance to physical design layout team
- Develop optimal PMIC solution, with consideration of power, performance, area, risk, resources and schedule
Technical Customer Interface Engagement
- Participate in customer engagements, in support of technical feasibility and proposals
- IC Development Weekly meetings/IC Milestone Workshops
- In Production IC Support
Human Resources Management
- Support the development of a multi-disciplined team, including interviewing and recruitment support
- Provide Mentorship and technical leadership, setting up framework and structure for efficient development flows
- Enable a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Support project management, task planning, schedule and resources
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, with 10+ years of experience
- Experience in leading complex IC and IP developments, Analog Design experience with multiple products introduced into the market, with Integrated Power functions
- Strong technical and analytical background with good problem-solving skills
- Strong team worker with multi-discipline, multi-cultural and multi-site environments
- Good understanding of Mixed-Signal Design Flow and Top-Down development methodology
- Good understanding of Power IP Topologies
- Analog Functional and Parametric Verification
- Process - Voltage - Temperature (PVT) Corners, Layout Parameter Extraction (LPE) Simulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Proficient with Cadence Suite (Virtuoso ADE Spectre)
- Scripting languages (Shell, TCL, PERL, Python)
- HDL programming languages (Verilog/SystemVerilog)
- Analog Behavioral Models (Verilog-A, Verilog-AMS, Wreal, SystemVerilog, EEnet)
- Mixed-Signal Verification methodology and tools (AMS/APS/Flex)
- IC Top-Level Digital UVM Verification (Universal Verification Methodology)
- Experience in high-voltage low geometry process technology
- Lab silicon bring-up evaluation and Production Test support experiences
