You'll be

  • Delivering mechanical engineering services that meet Worley Rosenberg, its customers, and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
  • Working on projects in a range of industry sectors, including sustainable energy, offshore oil and gas, and others across the international energy, resources, and chemical sectors in collaboration with our global parent company, Worley.
  • Performing mechanical engineering services such as preparing project proposals, estimates, budgets, and schedules; generate mechanical engineering deliverables; contributing to project studies and reviews; conducting field visits; providing assistance during construction, and commissioning activities; and identifying project risks and reporting changes to project scope.
  • Undertaking equipment requisitioning by generating specifications, data sheets and technical content documents to support the requisition; reviewing supplier bid documents and conducting Technical Bid evaluations; undertaking Bid Clarification Meetings; supplier document review and approval; monitoring assigned packages for technical, contractual and QA/QC compliance and closing out packages.
  • Communicating effectively with the engineering team and project stakeholders, including the customer.
  • Acting as Mechanical Engineering Lead on projects accountable for discipline resource management; technical competency; project execution; project deliverables; procurement support and site support.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in mechanical engineering.
  • Supporting the mechanical department as a Technical Advisor by actively contributing and implementing departmental strategies and growth initiatives, ensuring adequate resourcing and competency levels, developing and implementing tools and work methodologies.

You’ll have

  • A recognized degree in the relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • relevant engineering experience in the energy sector or a similar industry.
  • Extensive technical and practical engineering skills and the ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate, and timely work to Worley Rosenberg and its customers.
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable local Norwegian regulations and standards as well as international standards and other statutory and regulatory specifications.
  • Strong leadership skill with a proven track record in leading positions.
  • Competent use of engineering-specific software.
  • A pro-active and collaborative mindset with good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a project team environment.
  • Ability to adopt the Worley principles related to diversity and inclusion.

Although not required, the following will be considered highly advantageous:

  • Technical competence in static and or rotating equipment.
  • Requisitioning experience in complex multi-equipment packages.
  • Project experience in the sustainable energy sector.
