What we expect
- Design system-level optical simulation models and perform extensive optical and light behavior analysis. Interpret and report on results including recommendations on optimization;
- Define and implement optical systems with internal and external partners;
- Work closely with customers and Field Application Engineers to resolve technical challenges;
- Define design concepts and select key optical technologies in-line with requirements;
- Generate product documentation including optical design specifications and optical design performances reports;
- Planning and supervision of laboratory measurements for sensor and material characterization;
- Perform engineering product verification to ensure compliance to requirements.
Who we are looking for
- Master’s or PhD in Physics, Optics, Optical Engineering or related field of study;
- Experience in optical design of imaging systems. Minimum 3 years’ experience preferred;
- Experience with optical filters, microoptics (MLA) and consumer electronic systems is beneficial;
- Main tools: LightTools & Solidworks (Experience is beneficial; induction and trainings will be offered);
- Knowledge in optical and micro-optics technologies and materials is also an Advantage;
- Preferred experience in opto-mechanical design and CAD;
- Self-motivated, creative problem solver, to participate in a cross functional development Team;
- Fluent in English, German is a plus.
