Job Description
Within the team Exotrail, you are responsible for carrying out the mechanical design of the various propulsion systems for the various customer projects.
Your main tasks will be:
- To design, in collaboration with the technical team, the systems and/or sub-systems considering the mechanical and thermal constraints;
- To be the point of contact of the mechanical design for customer projects. This includes assuring the compatibility with the different sub-systems, the writing of the Mechanical Interface Control Documents and other documents required for hardware qualification or project purposes;
- To create and be responsible of the chains of dimensions and the drawing of the different parts;
- To develop, coordinate and monitor all aspects of manufacturing of mechanical parts, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication and relation with the machinists;
- To manage and to participate in mechanical tests;
- To carry out a technological survey on materials and innovative solutions to improve the mechanical and thermal design of our systems;
- To contribute to the stock management of the mechanical parts.
Preferred Experience
- Master's Degree from Aerospace Engineering/Physics schools or university;
- At least 5 years' experience in a mechanical design role (in the space domain is a plus);
- Good knowledge of mechanical analysis (finite element analysis);
- High knowledge and skills of CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor);
- Fluent in English, written and spoken;
- Autonomous, rigorous and detailed oriented;
- Diplomatic, you are a good communicator and responsive;
- Curious, proactive in your activities and on the subjects which you are responsible of;
- Good analytical and synthesis skills to produce documents in accordance with the company's quality management policy.
You are a motivated person, able to adapt quickly within a young and very ambitious team, and you have shown a real interest in the space field.
