We are seeking a Process Engineer who will work within the UK Engineering team and contribute to the efficient day-to-day operation of the UK manufacturing plant.

What you’ll do:

  • Become a key part of the manufacturing and engineering team;
  • Deliver site CAPEX improvement projects by controlling capital project management framework from project initiation to full on time delivery, whilst controlling project costs and staying within budgetary targets;
  • Complete relevant documentation and execute CQV (Commissioning, Qualification & Validation) to handover equipment to production for beneficial use;
  • Interact with suppliers, vendors and manufacturers of equipment to build trusted relationships with business partners;
  • Coordinate and deliver projects for scale up of products from laboratory and pilot plant to commercial production, in line with the rapid business NPI growth objectives;
  • Investigate and implement waste, quality and productivity improvements for all aspects of operations with an emphasis on SHE compliance;
  • Work with all cross functional departments to identify process improvements utilizing RCA troubleshooting methodologies, for CI and to establish a robust manufacturing system;
  • Experience in PHA’s e.g. HAZOP, What IF etc. Driving outcomes to a full resolution on time and in budget would be of an advantage;
  • Ensure plant operations adhere and comply with Purolite management systems in line with the standards ISO9001; ISO14001 & ISO18001);
  • Interact with other scientists, engineers, plant operators, sales team and other Purolite employees.

What you'll need:

  • Degree in Process/Chemical Engineering, or equivalent;
  • Experienced in Process Safety (PHA, HAZOP, LOPA, DSEAR, ATEX, Risk Assessment etc.);
  • Experience working with chemicals of varying hazards;
  • High level of competency with MS Office;
  • Willingness to work in a hands-on environment;
  • Industrial experience (University placement or similar);
  • Work as a self-starter as part of a growing team;
  • Highly numerate, technically minded and analytical, with a love of problem solving and the ability to balance creativity with logic.
