The position:

Reports to the Lead Aerodynamics Designer or designee. Works closely with model makers and aerodynamicists to continuously evolve performance of aerodynamic test parts and surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments;
• CAD model part design;
• CAD surface definition and concept scheming;
• Clear communication of task status;
• Develop workflow automation tools;
• Follow and maintain safety standards in all venues;
• Assume any responsibilities delegated by their seniors.

Education and Work Experience:

• A degree in a relevant engineering discipline. Typically requires at least 2 years of experience in the automobile racing industry.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

• Thorough understanding of and experience with CAD, with expertise in CATIA/3DX;
• Self-sufficient in planning and prioritizing tasks;
• Use judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills to achieve objectives.

Equipment and Applications:

• Solid computer knowledge, preferred experience in Microsoft Office products.
