Your future job

As a Project Manager at Melexis, you will manage all activities for your development project in order to achieve the technical, commercial and quality targets in line with the Melexis development policies and methodologies. You will be the main interface of Melexis to the customer.

More specifically, you will:

  • Define the resource needs within the framework of the project definition
  • Develop project charter (planning, risk, project and product cost, team) by finding upon consensus the right balance between initial customer requirement and technical/ planning/ cost feasibility
  • Lead the project team members with the right level of influencing and assertiveness to transfer the product in production environment according to the Melexis quality standards and the project target (time, cost, quality)
  • Steer the execution of the project according to the Melexis Project Development Flow; Monitor project performance (time, cost, quality balance) through the respective PM tools; Proactively use the derived conclusions to ensure that the project stays on track; Apply proper escalation procedure when needed manage the risks in case of change in the project requirements, report and agree on the consequences of the change with the customers
  • Act as interface between the customer and Melexis experts in order to ensure that activities are aligned and implemented effectively
  • Align and coordinate the activities of the internal and/or external suppliers of existing and/ or new processes according to the Melexis Project Development Flow; In the case of new processes, ensure that appropriate risk management procedure is in place and drive correct execution
  • Support the Business Unit with all needed documentation/expertise to ensure a professional product launch
  • Drive standardisation of processes and technologies, apply effective Lessons Learned practices, exchange knowledge across the sites Continuously evaluate project management processes and propose, support, and implement improvements affecting efficiency

Your profile

  • An engineering master degree in an electronics or related field
  • More than 5 years of project management experience in a related environment
  • A strong technical background in the automotive, IC and/or sensor development is an asset
  • A strong risk mindset and ability to balance potential risks vs time and money
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Willingness to travel
