At Ovivo, we offer you the opportunity to expand your skills and professional experience while collaborating with worldwide experts in water treatment. As Commissioning Engineer, you will perform Commissioning and Start-up for use of Ovivo proprietary Ultrapure Water UPW Plants equipment. You will be responsible for starting-up equipment in the plant to reach the final UPW quality specification.

What is the role?

  • Work closely with Project Managers and Construction Managers and monitor progress against planned schedule of works;
  • Introduce water in the ultrapure water treatment system. Verify the integrity of the equipment for validation of mechanical installation with pressure tests;
  • Load media and equipment includes but not limited to ion exchange resins, reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration membranes, UV lamps, etc.;
  • Perform flushing activities to reach final UPW quality specification;
  • Beware of the waste water generated and work closely with relevant parties to ensure smooth operation;
  • Attend meetings with customer representatives when required;
  • Conduct Installation Qualification IQ / Operational Qualification OQ and Functional Acceptance Test FAT;
  • Provide plant training to customer process and operation;
  • Perform Final Plant Certification before hand-over to end customer;
  • Maintain detailed documentation of commissioning activities, test results, and any deviations encountered;
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving: The Commissioning Engineer must be able to identify and solve problems that arise during the start-up process;
  • Adherence to safe working requirements and site Health & Safety regulations at all times.

Does this sound like you?

  • Technical graduate education bachelor's degree or master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields;
  • Good knowledge in continuous process Gas, Water, Pharma, or similar fields;
  • Relevant experience in Commissioning, Start-up, Operation, Maintenance, Service, or similar;
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and good problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload and flexibility to adjust to rapid changes in work conditions;
  • Strong interpersonal & intercultural skills and ability to work well with others;
  • Capacity to take decisions and proactivity;
  • Good communication skills: you will be the image of the company on site, in front of the customer;
  • Working language is English fluent, German and French are a plus.
