Your Role:

You will be a part of a small dynamic research team of 4 people, with multiple research goals. We are a happy bunch of technology geeks and lab rats. Science has a special place in our heart and R&D runs through our veins. Basically, we built expertise to improve our products and reduce ecological footprint. Your main task is to develop the research pillar adsorption technology, where you build in depth understanding for the removal of volatile components (VOC’s, CO, SOx,…) from a gas stream. You will make a significant contribution to our research and product development, and you will have the opportunity to work on the filtration solutions of the future.

What does it mean concretely?

  • You do extensive research with the support of the team to find improved adsorption materials, filtration concepts or technologies (both on performance and sustainability)
  • You set up and coordinate research projects with universities or external experts. You translate the results/knowledge from these studies into solutions
  • You work closely together with your colleagues in the filter or analytical lab and regularly/occasionally do tests on your own
  • You identify knowledge gaps and follow up on a test plan
  • You work together with other engineering teams to define the right test strategy
  • You report to the team leader R&D filtration & separation

  • Master's degree or PhD in chemical engineering, process engineering, process systems engineering or related field.
  • Interest in analytical chemistry is a plus
  • You have a pragmatic approach to new challenges and the ability to switch tasks quickly, depending on priorities
  • You are self-managing and have an organizational approach and like autonomy
  • Drive for tech improvement
  • Good communication skills and English proficiency are required, basic communication skills in Dutch is a plus
  • As part of a team, you work to find the best solution for your challenge
