Embedded Applications Engineer

What You Will Do:

In this role you will be working with world leading IoT customers integrating Silicon Labs products into the next-generation wireless products shaping the world of tomorrow. You will have a direct impact on the success of these products as you help our customers design and build connected systems.

Here is what your daily role will look like:

Actively helping customers on their design and development activities;
Develop example code for various customer use cases;
Collaborate with IC design, software engineering and marketing teams on product evaluations and new product definition;
Write and maintain various documentation for customer use – Application Notes, Reference Manuals, Datasheets;
Interact with key customers and help navigate challenges around new designs. Travel to customer as needed.

Education and Skills for Success:

BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent;
Strong embedded C programming skills: Ability to troubleshoot and debug code, devices, and systems;
Understanding of embedded peripherals, such as ADC, DAC, SPI, I2C, UART;
Hardware knowledge to perform schematic and layout reviews for customer;
Strong communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Bonus Skills and Experience:

FreeRTOS, Zephyr or MicriumOS/µCOS;
Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, JavaScript, or UNIX shell script);
Experience with documentation software such as DITA, Doxygen;
Experience with bootloaders.
