Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

  • Responsible for the implementation, continuous improvement and maintenance of the Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, Product Safety Management) required to guarantee the quality of our products aligns with regulatory requirements/expectations;
  • Develop and implement Quality department objectives and related procedures and ensure sites procedures align with Corporate policies;
  • Responsible for managing customer audits and regulatory/compliance agency audits and interface with customers on technical/Quality issues and improvements initiatives;
  • Reporting to top management on the performance of the quality management system and any need for improvement;
  • Promote best practices and innovative approaches around quality/successful implementations to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency in Quality Assurance. Translate these into programs, whitepapers, services, mitigation strategies, etc. to drive future proactive measures;
  • Analyzes, evaluates and presents information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, manufacturing problems, economic trends and design and development of new products for consideration by other members of management team;
  • Develops initial and subsequent modifications of product assurance program to delineate areas of responsibility, personnel requirements and operational procedures within program;
  • Conducts management meetings with product assurance program department heads to establish, delineate and review program organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations between departments, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives;

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

  • Minimum 10 years experience in a Quality Engineering;
  • Minimum 8 years experience in a Quality Management role;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience and training;
  • Certified VDA 6.3 auditor and IATF auditor, deep knowledge of VDA and AIAG standards and core tools;
  • Fluent English language skills;
  • Experience in ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, and/or IATF 16949 environments in the automotive supply chain;
  • Demonstrates expert functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills;

Here are a few of our preferred experiences:

  • Experience in the medical device industry is preferred;
  • An American Society for (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineers certification is an advantage.
