Propose, plan and execute new research projects related to Vehicle Safety. Identify potential opportunities for new R&D projects World-wide. Specifically, pursue collaboration projects regarding the topics that have been identified as strategic in the Passive Safety Roadmap.
Manage, develop and support R&D activities for internal projects related to departmental improvements, creation of advanced internal tools and creation of new products/services both in IDIADA HQ and other Business Units.
Involvement in research projects with global automotive manufacturers.
Design, draft and execute project proposals related to Passive Safety. Usually in European consortiums constituted by different companies, universities and governmental entities to achieve objectives set by the European Commission.
Publication of project results in international conferences. Production and presentation of technical papers World-wide.
Projects related to the study, reconstruction and analysis of traffic accidents.
Collect and analyse data resulting from crash testing activities.
Organize and manage the test plan for R&D Projects.
Encourage innovation activities amongst the Passive Safety Team.
Work alongside with other technical departments to develop new strategic opportunities in the field of Passive Safety.
Knowledge of SolidWorks or any similar CAD software is mandatory.
Knowledge in programming will be an asset.
Experience in the Automotive Industry will be an asset.
Experience in a Research and Development Projects will be an asset.
