Thorn SDS is a co-contractor providing System Operations Engineering services to our client EUMETSAT, the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites. We have an exciting opportunity for a System Operations Engineer to complement our team in Germany. The focus of the role involves all aspects of real time end-to-end mission operations and the systems required to support them, including Communications Networks Operational Infrastructure and Security as well as interfacing to the Flight Operations Team as part of the overall System and Spacecraft Operations.
The main focus of this service is in operations engineering of the Jason-2, Jason-3 and SARAL (cooperative altimetry technology mission of the Indian Space Research Organisation) missions, as well as the systems operations preparation for Jason-CS.
