Technical leadership in one of the following areas: environmental perception (Cameras, Lidar, Radar) sensor fusion; localization; mapping; situation assessment; behavior generation; action, maneuver, or path planning;
Develop algorithms for Autonomous Driving;
Adapt algorithms developed by other departments for truck-specific purposes;
Stay up to date regarding latest algorithms;
Develop engineering requirements and write documentation;
Collaborate with other teams around the globe and transfer knowledge gained on advanced technology;
Interact with European and US companies and organizations to develop and cultivate strategic partnerships;
Keep up to date with the latest technologies in the field of autonomous-driving and algorithms and represent the team on international conferences.
Master of Science degree in robotics, controls engineering or similar with 3 years working experience or PhD in relevant field;
Proven work experience with autonomous vehicles or robotics, software development, and controls engineering;
Proven work experience with algorithm design;
Hands-on experience in the field of environment perception (camera, Lidar, Radar), sensor fusion, localization, and behavior generation;
Strong skills in Software development, software architecture and advanced programming skills in C/C++ and MATLAB/Simulink. Experience with real-time programming of embedded platforms, automotive ECUs, automotive Ethernet/ CAN controllers;
Ability to independently manage all phases of software development including compile, build, version management, QA and bug tracking, simulation, testing, validation, documentation, and release;
Strong English and German presentation and communication skills.
Ability to work and collaborate with remote locations over different time zones;
Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
