Expro Group are currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Manager to support with the growth plans for the Meters and emerging Production surveillance Product Line. This is a regional role supporting the Europe and CIS (ECIS) business based in Aberdeen, with travel expected as required.

This is a hybrid Petro-technical sales role, as such the ideal candidate should have a good technical background and understanding of production surveillance and meters technologies within the Oil and Gas industry.

The successful candidate will deliver a sustainable Meters and emerging Production Surveillance sales pipeline to the ECIS Region. The Sales Manager will create and own the strategy for specific countries, their Customer and Asset base mapped to proven Meters applications and capabilities to drive targeted sales to customers within that mapping.

The Technical Sales Manager will continually maintain and reinforce end customer awareness of Expro Production surveillance offering.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Customer facing role introducing Expro Production Surveillance services to end customer;
  • Identify end customer applications which match our existing application space;
  • Create opportunities through engaging with budget holders and technical authorities within Operating Companies to resolve surveillance and production optimization challenges on their assets, facilities and wells;
  • Identify end customer applications outside of our application space and return to Product Line for evaluation;
  • Create Technical and Commercial proposals for target applications;
  • Engage Operations early to improve outcome from customer applications, handover to Operations in timely manner;
  • Accountable for creation and Management of sales pipeline within CRM system;
  • Leverage end of well data reporting to create sustainable revenue stream from data services;
  • Competitor awareness and reporting to Product Line of Competitor and Market Share;
  • Use of Social selling to raise awareness within their area of responsibility, for example around creation of use cases;
  • Networking with professional groups & societies, e.g. SPE to promote Expro.

Job Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • This is a Petro Technical role;
  • Candidate should have some previous Petroleum and or Engineering qualification;
  • Proven Track record in Sales;
  • Operational experience is preferable, particularly in data driven services, Well Testing, Multi phase Meters, Production Logging;
  • Ability to understand basic concepts in Production Surveillance/Production Optimization;
  • Ability to create and deliver technical presentations.
