Role Summary:

The MCS Valves Senior Engineer will be an integral part of the MCS Piping, Jumpers & Valves Team that is technical responsible for defining and delivering subsea manifold Piping, Jumpers & Valves. Main responsibility is coaching and mentoring of engineers within discipline, and participation in FEED studies, NPI programs, tenders and projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Execute discipline responsibility within valve engineering;
  • Focal point and technically responsible for valves and valve engineering within MCS;
  • Promote technical excellence within team and support team through design review participation, lessons learned awareness, and technical innovation;
  • Take lead role within Projects, Programs or FEED studies;
  • Work cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables, and to ensure experience transfer/lessons learned;
  • Attend concept and design reviews for Manifold & Connection Systems;
  • Review specifications and standards and prepare all relevant specifications as part of FEED studies, NPI programs, tenders or project start-up;
  • Ensure compliance initiatives, EHS and training requirements are implemented;
  • Identify and implement process improvements within discipline;
  • Communicate effectively both within immediate team and across MCS organization.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • MSc or BSc in Mechanical Engineering;
  • Extensive experience within the subsea industry -preferably with valves and actuators;
  • Experience within one or more disciplines; Mechanical design or Design of offshore and/or Subsea piping/valve systems;
  • In depth knowledge of materials, welding and manufacturing processes and assembly processes;
  • In depth knowledge to rules and regulations within the Oil & Gas industry (ISO, ASME , API);
  • Strong analytical skills combined with excellent problem solving skills;
  • Highly proactive and results oriented, ability to influence others and create cohesive groups;
  • English fluent verbal and written;
  • PC proficiency.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers.
