As a Structural Engineer, you will be supporting the Senior Structural Engineer with the design and development of structural solutions, as well as resolving engineering issues for constructions and buildings at the Naval Base. The dockyard comprises an area of about 336 acres and includes buildings that range from shipbuilding warehouses, churches, museums, block mills and also the Naval Academy where Lord Admiral Nelson himself learnt his trade.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with a very diverse range of architecture, including buildings dating back to 1495, as well as a variety of materials. You will have the chance to work as part of a large team, developing your skills and experience in structural engineering within an exciting environment.
You will possess excellent problem solving skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team. You must also have good communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical information and influence a range of stakeholders.
