As a Laboratory Functional Engineer (Senior) for the Fabric Care and Dish you will take part in the development of new products at a global level for the R&D department.

A typical day at work:

You approach your responsibilities proactively and innovatively, with practical sense and operative attitude. Your aim is to define the optimal solutions for cleaning and drying as well as to provide product process instructions for performance testing at a product level. You are in charge of implementation and optimization of cleaning and drying processes supporting the development of new projects and ensuring the achievement of technical targets and compliance with appropriate standards. You use statistics to draw conclusions and work on required documentation.

Your focus will be to:

  • Develop consumer white goods products in a global R&D environment;
  • Ensure excellent consumer experience using our products for millions of consumers;
  • Apply accumulated knowledge from laboratory work to improve product core functionality and performance;
  • Solve engineering optimization problems;
  • Contribute to the continues development and improvement of personal and team capabilities and processes;
  • Define, develop, improve and execute experiments, tests and analysis methods in a laboratory;
  • Participate in global and cross-functional development teams and projects;
  • Identify and communicate technical opportunities and risks;
  • Make and ensure high quality of technical reports and documentation.

Education & experience:

  • Physics/Mechanical/Thermo–Mechanical/Chemical -engineering University degree (3-5 years);
  • 2-4 years of seniority in the similar position;
  • DOE design of experiment knowledge and 6-sigma;
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment, data acquisitions system, testing procedures and evaluations of results.

Languages:

  • English is mandatory for this role;
  • Italian would be an asset.
