Position Description:

The Development Manager South Europe & Africa will be primarily responsible for signing up new alliances opportunities, renewing existing contracts and evolve initiatives to improve Flowserve overall efforts throughout all customer’s sites in the region for Seals & Pumps.

The selected candidate is expected to be proactive in supporting and driving End-user sales team to create awareness of the opportunity delivering benefits of LifeCycle Advantage Alliances to the customer and in the same time increased revenue and margins for Flowserve. The role requires an high initiative level, self-driven and act as an entrepreneur within the Flowserve organization to promote Lifecycle Advantage programs. This position reports directly to the LCA Development Manager EMA, becoming part of a team of Regional Development Managers and will work closely together with LCA Operations Team. Due to the number of active contracts, the preferred base location is Spain.

Main accountabilities include:

  • Coordinate and implement a plan to achieve yearly targeted number of alliances;
  • Create new and innovative alliance initiatives, which improve our overall alliance efforts;
  • Work within end user sales to support and improve consistent alliance programs;
  • Ensure that current alliance agreements are good for Flowserve by supporting market share, revenue and profitability growth initiatives in a financially sound manner;
  • Actively participate in new alliance roll out meetings and transition plans with the Alliance Operations Team;
  • Coordinate with Alliance Development directors and be responsible for securing extensions of existing alliance agreements;
  • Be proactive about maximizing our earning potential and labor demands;
  • Interface with Flowserve management to communicate changing market demands and troublesome issues;
  • Manage and continually improve interface with general sales force and regional teams by effective communication, planning, and processes;
  • Be a team player. Enhance skills in order to be an assertive contributor for the growth and improvement of the management team. Execute agreed decisions and directives in an efficient and timely manner;
  • Manage controllable expenses within departmental budgeted levels;
  • Act as Corporate Account Manager; drive and promote additional participation and coordination of our alliance on a corporate level;
  • Coordinate and interface with other Flowserve Divisions in a positive a constructive manner and work on joint projects as necessary for the net benefit of Flowserve.

Position Requirements:

  • Four year technical degree required;
  • Five or more years of field sales experience;
  • Capable of presenting, discussing, and negotiating agreements with individuals whose capabilities range from a Senior Executive level to laborers in the maintenance and operation departments of our customers;
  • Provide a fundamental knowledge of commercial and contract language in order to maximize profit and mitigate financial risk.

Preferences:

  • Previous international experience.
